The Swiss Society of Cardiology was endowed with CHF 1.2 Mio to support basic research in cardiovascular medicine. Together with the Swiss Heart Foundation contributing a further CHF 300’000 we intend to disburse the total amount of CHF 1.5 Mio in three calls of CHF 500’000 over the next years.

The calls will be done in a two-step procedure with a pre-proposal (Letter-of-Intent) followed by an invitation of the top-ranked projects after evaluation by the Scientific Roux Committee to submit a full proposal. The highest ranked full proposal after undergoing external Peer Review and evaluation through the Roux Committee will then receive CHF 500’000 for three years with payments linked to yearly milestones.
